Brandi & John's Wedding | May 6th, 2017

Old Hickory Golf Club | Woodbridge, VA

It doesn't matter how many weddings we've photographed, put me with a couple that is deeply in love, and I will be shooting through tears all day long. Brandi & John are MADLY in love, there's no hiding it, and they have no intention of doing so. I wasn't the only one fighting back tears of joy at this wedding. Their family and friends were delighted to celebrate this couple who always treat each other with respect, tenderness, and a rich sense of humor!

The wedding day at Old Hickory Golf Club brought rain showers that stuck around all day, unwilling to miss the party. We had to move the ceremony onto the porch and make alternate plans for outdoor portraits with umbrellas. The lovebirds took everything in stride, more concerned with sending cards and gifts to one another and calling to whisper sweet nothings. 

During the ceremony John surprised his bride by revealing his "scroll" of vows which he claimed to have started writing the day she said "yes." There was not a dry eye in the house as this quiet groom professed his love for the woman of his dreams. The bride, with the laugh that makes everyone smile, was overjoyed and very ready to say "I do."

After some romantic photos under an umbrella, it's party time! Brandi and John wow with a choreographed first dance and loved ones give some excellent toasts. The mother of the bride, Anita, cracks me up with her amazing moves on the dance floor; she and Brandi even lead the crowd in The Cupid Shuffle! So much fun as loved ones hold up the couple of the night and celebrate them becoming husband and wife.
