Zara & Christian | October 19th, 2018

Some love stories are so moving that just witnessing their radiance reminds you to slow down and focus on what really matters in this world. Zara & Christian share that kind of love. Love that inspires...
This wedding day was one of the most touching that we've witnessed. The couple, with origins from Persia and Cameroon, is straight-up stunning. But, beyond their physical beauty is the beauty that comes from within; they are good people with gentle and thoughtful souls.
Together, Zara and Christian are raising Christian's son, Nathan. Their attentiveness to the happiness of this young man is evident from the moment you meet them. Family is paramount for these two. For this reason, the fiancés chose their mothers to officiate the wedding day.
The ceremony was filled with tender moments and pulled from the many cultures present. My favorite moment was getting to see the Persian sugar rubbing ceremony, where women come forward to "shower" the newlyweds with sweetness. What a beautiful tradition!
During the reception, the familial adoration continued, with epic speeches given by the father of the bride and all the siblings of this sweet duo. Each person seemed to beautifully weave sentimentality with explosive humor. All of them welcomed their new family members with open arms.
Love was abundant and happiness flowed through the trees of Woodend Sanctuary on this crisp, fall day.
