2014: A Year in Review

Marcel Proust says, "Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." Our clients, whose numbers are growing each month, are these people. You, letting us into your lives and hearts; trusting us to document your most crucial and precious moments. We spend our days looking over your photos, sorting and editing them, going through them one by one. We smile, and we laugh and cry, as you laughed and cried.
We get to relive these days with you over and over, and the happiness sometimes feels unreal. But, it is real. And as we begin what will be a very busy 2015, we look back to 2014 with wonder and gratitude. So many fabulous moments. We look to the year ahead with passion, drive, and, always, play.
Weddings are pretty special. Yes, a bridal show may be one bridal show too many for some of us. But, those moments shared by people who love another coming together to celebrate a union are sacred. It's undeniable. You can feel it.The day possesses an energy of its own and is always an unpredictable ride. Maybe it's the performer in me, but I can't get enough of that ride. And I can't get enough of these people. And their parents, and nieces, and neighbors, and college friends. How lucky we are, what a year!
Here's to 2015's weddings!!!
Travel is essential. We have driven across the country and up and down each coast countless times. The open road calls our name. But, this year we stayed closer to home. With no shortage of beauty to be found nearby. And created a new home in Baltimore. We love it here!

Families are kind of our favorite. See Bobby and I LOVE kids. But, we still love sleep, so not quite yet... Luckily, we have lots of incredible nieces and nephews to hang out with, and we have these guys! Our clients have the CUTEST kids.

Live performance revs us up! We love a good show. There's nothing quite like watching artists do what they do best. We are so fortunate to work with some of the very best in the business. We have caught some real legends this year! We also had the opportunity of working with a local Baltimore company called Afrohouse to create the entire photographic vision for their music website. Engagements are easy. Or to be more precise, it's not difficult to make two young people madly in love look good. The happiness generally does that for us. It's our first chance to get to know two people as a couple, and it's just the beginning of our relationship together. These fresh faces will say "I Do" this year, and we're gonna be there to catch it all. I can't wait.
