Bobby and I meet the Dame Family at Sugarloaf Mountain on a lovely Saturday morning, their team of turquoise unloading from the car into the sunshine. With two little ones and four-legged friends in tow, it was sure to be an exciting one!
The Sugarloaf Natural Area boasts quite a view and miles of wooded trails, the perfect backdrop for this family to let loose and have a little fun together!
The family dogs, Mikey and Ella, are excited to be out and about! Ella quickly becomes this shoot's comic relief, a ball of energy at the ripe old age of 8! Luckily, I have bacon strips with her name on it. It's so special to get to include these two in the photos. I think it's obvious that they are cherished members of the family.
During the shoot, Trish tells me that they've only ever taken traditionally posed photos. As the model for family photos grows and changes, Bobby and I are excited to offer something a little different. We believe that a family photo shoot should be an adventure, an experience to cherish, not dread.
After such co-operative posing, we decide it's time for a little jumping! Suddenly the little ones have tapped into reserve energy. Jeff gets ready to catch while the family game of "jump on 2, instead of 3", is promptly executed. The giggles are contagious.
It is always a treat to get to know another beautiful family. The Dame's are no exception....
And they don't take themselves too seriously....an attribute that we like quite a lot.
