Leslie & Andrew's | May 28th, 2016
Glen Echo Park | Bethesda, MD
Apparently, in relay racing, the last person to run is the called the anchor, aka the fastest. These are things you learn when photographing a wedding for two track stars. Leslie and Andrew make a first place finish with this classic beauty of a spring wedding.
When we met this couple for their engagement session it was immediately clear that Andrew is the kind of guy that loves his lady the same way Bobby loves me: purely, generously, and whole-heartedly. He brought the romance and Leslie enjoyed every moment of it. I knew the wedding day would be spectacular!
On May 28th, we are all excited for a day in the sunshine at Glen Echo Park. This venue is so special to me! I made my stage debut at their Adventure Theater at age 7 and my beloved Grandma lives right around the corner. We've done many photoshoots at this gorgeous, historic venue. But, this marks our first wedding. And what a stunner it is. We even got to go on the carousel!!!
Leslie and Andrew gather family and friends to celebrate with good food and great music. The groom, in fact, helps provide some of this music. Andrew's band plays a few songs and it's clear that their fan base runs deeps amongst the wedding guests. After the band plays, the dance floor is hopping with some very funny moves. I love watching this sweet couple gaze into each other's eyes and start their journey as husband and wife. They are destined for great things together!
Congratulations Leslie & Andrew! Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter. Story By: Kolleen Kintz
