Elise & Jake | December 31st, 2015
National Museum of the Marine Corps | Triangle, VA
The combination of a wedding and a holiday is truly magical. When fellow wedding vendor, Elise, inquired about her New Years Eve wedding, Bobby and I gave a resounding YES! Her groom, Jake, is not our first Marine groom, but he is our tallest! It is really fun getting to capture the smile of his petite bride resting her head on his chest.
The two tie the knot at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The chapel makes a gorgeous setting for a wedding. After a tearful and very romantic ceremony, everyone is ready to party! The local VFW has been completely transformed, with gorgeously draped fabric and all the glamour of a masquerade ball. The things brides can accomplish with a creative eye and a DIY spirit never cease to amaze me.
This group is ready to ring in the New Year, and raise a glass to toast the newly married Mr. and Mrs! How special to get to share our holiday with this group of family and friends. I especially love getting to know Elise's little brothers, a dynamic duo. There are some killer dance moves on the floor, and we can't help but join in. The end of the night is all champagne and balloons, no one is ready for the party to be over.
Happy 2016 to the Bride and Groom!
Congratulations Elise and Jake!!!
