I have had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful bride for most of my life. I met Sarah, or Kaleouilani, (known to the family as U'i), when her mother fell in love with my uncle Alan. U'i and I were just kids, and I, sporting braces and a too-tight 90's ponytail, was happy to have a cool new cousin. Fast forward to today. My cousin is mother to a fabulous little person named Abby, (no stranger to our cameras). And on this hot and sunny summer's day, Bobby and I get to document her marriage, the next chapter in her and Aaron's life.

Sarah and Aaron's wedding is a family affair through and through. The bride and groom say "I Do" at my uncle's home, with all of its historic charm. The couple wear ceremonial Hawaiian leis and exchange some very sweet looks during the ceremony. Few things can beat the joy of watching my family play "Wagon Wheel" for their first dance. My oldest niece, Josie, looks so lovely as she plays the violin solo. What a perfect moment! The weather is HOT, but luckily, Alan and Patti's home is pool front. Once the reception is well underway, I know it's only a matter of time before we see some cannonballs. Sure enough, most of the guys and kiddos end up in the pool. This is becoming a family tradition. 

After an epic cake cutting...or maybe cake battle, the party rages on into the night. The dance floor is packed and the storms have finally passed. How lucky to have a sunny ceremony and a dramatic thunderstorm to cool things off.

Getting to document weddings is always an honor. But, being asked to do so by family is quite special. Thank you U'i and Aaron. Congratulations to you both!
